MT. PLEASANT-- The Mt. Pleasant Public Library announces an open house to be held Tuesday, July 1, from 7 to 8 p.m. The technology renovation made possible by a Institute of Museum and Library Services grant received in 2007 is almost complete.
Come learn about the new library website, how to access a library account online, the new wireless internet and the Public Pioneer Page offered by the state.
Free basic computer classes will be offered to those with limited computer knowledge. A new Mac computer was recently purchased. Library staff members will on on hand to answer any questions and assist in acquainting patrons with the new technology.
Internet access is free of charge at the library due to the generosity of CentraCom Interactive. The library is grateful to the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the grant, enabling the library to better serve the residents
