Woodland Hills Council Approves Budgets
Vern C. Gillmore
Talk about being well organized--the Woodland Hills City Council took only 20 minutes to approve two years worth of budgets. The first action was making amendments to the existing 2007-08 budget which expires on June 30th. After a review, minor changes were made resulting in its approval. The second action was adoption of the proposed 2008-09 fiscal year budget which takes effect immediately upon expiration of the 2007-08 budget.
Residents of the city must be in support of the new budget since only one resident was in attendance at the meeting. That person was Becky Provstgaard a new resident in the city. She said she was interested in attending the council meeting "because we all live in the city and better take our responsibility seriously." She continued, "I'm not there as a watchdog; I have full confidence in our elected officials. I just want to know what's going on." |
