The Brown House of Fine Arts, which opened¬ the first week of June¬ at 274 S. Main in Springville, has donated¬ some of the¬ proceeds from their Grand Opening to the Springville Playhouse.
A check in the amount of $200 was recently presented to Springville Playhouse President, Daryl Tucker.
The Brown House of Fine Arts¬ Studio and Gallery is being operated by Bill and Marilyn Brown as a part of VIP Arts, a non-profit organization formed several years ago¬ by the Browns in support of the performing arts.
The new¬ fine art studio and gallery¬ has been added to increase the scope of the¬ Browns' philanthropic efforts to include the visual arts.
All net proceeds from the gallery¬ go to¬ VIP Arts and will be used to support a wide range of arts related groups and¬ projects.¬
The Browns' long standing interest in the performing arts made the choice of their first donation to the Springville Playhouse an easy one for them.
They expressed their appreciation for living in the Art City and their hope for being able to add more support to the cultural atmosphere of Springville's downtown area with the addition of their new studio and gallery.
The¬ Brown House of Fine Arts¬ is open to the public Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and by appointment.
They invite everyone to drop in and browse through the current works of art on display. |
