UVSC opens library to visitors as part of UVU celebration Print E-mail

UVSC began their transition celebration this morning with tours of their new library.

Joseph Watkins, UVSC Student Body President, along with past presidents of the college used sledgehammers to knock down a wall between the new Digital Learning Center and the Liberal Arts Building.

 

After the wall came down, visitors began filing through the Digital Learning Center that officially opens tomorrow.

Mike Freeman, UVSC Library Director, estimated that by 3 p.m. a couple thousand visitors had walked through the new building.

The library will remain open until 6 p.m. Throughout the afternoon there will be tours, food, music and performances in the library including a belly dancing demonstration at 4 p.m.
