• Center Stage Youth Performers invites youth ages 7-18 to participate in its musical theater workshop and production. Registration begins today. Participants will spend four months training in acting, vocal performance, and dance and four months applying what they have learned. This year's musical will be "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." Classes and rehearsals will be held Wednesdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove's Lions Club. Classes will begin on Sept. 3 and continue through April 2009. Monthly tuition is $50. There is a registration fee of $50 that covers the cost of materials, scripts, music, etc. Additional immediate family members are $40 per person, per month. To register, visit www.csyp.org. Broadway Bound participants will spend six months training in acting, vocal performance and dance and will perform a Broadway musical review in February. Classes and rehearsals will be held each Thursday from 4-5:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove's Lions Club. Classes will begin on Sept. 4 and continue through February 2009. Monthly tuition is $50 per month. Additional immediate family members are $40 per person, per month. There is also a non-refundable registration fee of $40 that covers the cost of materials, a T-shirt, music and a rehearsal CD. PROVO • To celebrate Canada Day today, Crazzy Canuck and other Canadian businesses are throwing a Canadian Festival today from 5-8 p.m. at Kiwanis Park, 820 N. 1100 East. The public is invited, especially those with ties to Canada. There will be bouncy toys for children and Canadian trivia and games for the adults.
