Caru Das said, "This year we hope that owners plan on coming once again with your beautiful animals. We love to see how they perform, and to know they are well situated with owners who take some time with them."
Organizers call he Utah Valley Llama Fest a low pressure event, where the audience enjoys the balks and stubbornness of some animals as much as the flawless performance of others. Their goal is to get a large variety of animals out on that day to give the public an eyeful.¬ Any llama owner who would like to do a workshop or demonstrations, please contact Caru Das.
This year every llama owner will get $5 for each event entry except for the races. Llama owners will get $10 for every entry in the Costume Contest (if costume is reasonably ingenious), and $ 10 for every entry in the Beautiful Baby contest.
The rebate offer is contingent upon early registration. Exhibitors should consult the list of events and contact Utah Valley Llamas with the llamas name, events, DOB, gender, etc. Organizers believe the rebate should cover most gas expenses, and as usual there is no admission fee for persons in vehicles pulling llama trailers. People who are not in a vehicle pulling a llama trailer (even if you are relatives of the owners) will be charged the modest admission fee.
Llama Fest organizers say early registration will make their job easier.
In addition to the animals, the food, crafts, spinning demonstrations, and entertainment all add to the festiveness of the occasion. This year Kausachun Peru, Los Hermanos de los Andes, Leraine Horstmanshoff, Los Nuestras Raices, and the Good Karma Blues Band are booked for the Fest.
