Daily Herald

Everyone is invited to the FREE movies and music at the Spring Acres Arts Park. The gate opens at 7 p.m., with music performances at 8 p.m., and movies will start at dusk, around 9 p.m.

The movie this Monday, July 7, will be "Monster House." The musical performance will be by Chris Woods.

¬ Bring your children, food, blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy the evening with your family and friends.

The Arts Park is located at 620 S. 1350 East, just north of Springville High School.

The movies are shown on a giant screen hung on the Arts Park stage, and the sound is played through a professional sound system. These free movies are a great opportunity for the family to get together for a night out. It is akin to going to the drive-in movies of old. Everyone can eat and enjoy the movies.

There will be concessions. For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, no alcoholic beverages or dogs will be allowed.

The summer movies are sponsored by Springville City and the Springville Arts Commission. Call 489-2730 for more information.

Additional movies will be: July 14, no movie because of the World Folkfest; July 21, "Kicking and Screaming;" July 28, "Open Season;" August 4, "3 Amigos;" and August 11, "Hairspray."

Musical performances before the movies will include: July 14, World Folkfest; July 21, Expressions Dance Performers; July 28, Thom Sequoia; August 4, Brother Chunky; and August 11, Shane Jackman.
