County fair handbook available online for Open Class exhibitors Print E-mail

Utah County Fair Open Class exhibitors may now access the Exhibitors Handbook online at www.co.utah.ut.us/Dept/CountyFair/OpenClass

Anyone who is not a member of 4-H is eligible to exhibit in the Open Class. Open Class coordinator Belva Parr said open class encompasses taxidermy, clothing, foods and canning, quilts and quilting, horticulture/floriculture, creative arts, photography/fine arts and pigeons.

Check in, for everything except taxidermy, horticulture/floriculture and pigeons exhibits, is Monday, Aug. 11, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the exhibit hall housed in the indoor tennis court at the Spanish Fork Fair Grounds.

Taxidermy/Wildlife check in is Wednesday, Aug. 13, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Horticulture/floriculture check in is August 13 between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the tennis building.

Pigeons are due July 15, to Nelson Abbott, 361 Salem Hills Drive, Elk Ridge, 84651.

The fair will open August 13 at 4 p.m. and close August 16 after closing ceremony and fireworks. Spanish Fork will now be the permanent home of the Utah County Fair. Utah County Fair Open Class is sponsored by the Utah County Commissioners.
