JaNae Kotter sings -- The Lehi Arts in the Park series Sunday will feature JaNae Kotter, a local Lehi singer/songwriter who writes songs inspired by her own life and the world around her.

Her music combines strong vocals and emotions with deceptively simple guitar arrangements to share life's emotions through music. With a folk style often compared to Jewel and Wynona Judd, she sings for the sheer love of singing.

In 2007, Kotter recorded and produced an independent full-length CD of original songs entitled "Songs from the Attic" and is available on iTunes. More information on Kotter and other performance opportunities can be found at www.janaemusic.com.

Those who would like to catch Kotter before Sunday can hear her perform at Thanksgiving Point Gardens on July 11 at 7 p.m. in The Gardens. On Aug. 2, she is opening for David Blasucci for the Homestead Concert series, Aug. 8 at Thanksgiving Point Gardens, and Aug. 22 at Deer Cliff Inn in Preston, Idaho. ¬

Well update -- The parts for the down Traverse Mountain Well arrived safely this time without the damaged parts. Lehi Water Department Superintendent Lee Barnes said the well has been reconstructed and reset with the new pump, column and shaft. It has been test pumped and flushed and staff has pulled bacteria samples for the water. Barnes reports they are waiting for the test results before reintroducing the well water back into the municipal water system.
