A recent Herald poll asked about the four-day work week for state employees. Among the responses:
Why not split the 3-day weekend so that some are working on Fridays and have Sat.-Mon. off and others have Fri.-Sun. off and work on Mondays and also have some who can't work the 4-10's remain on a Mon.-Fri. schedule?

Sixty percent of the "employees" reported increased productivity. Do employees in government usually determine their productivity? Shouldn't the employer determine improved productivity?
What about the savings intended with the change in schedule? Did any savings actually occur? Did you ever see a bottom line from the city governments showing any dollar savings?
