It's sad when someone sneaks over to someone's house in the dead of night and cuts down 11 trees. Especially in a small town. Especially to a home owned by a Genola councilman who doesn't hesitate to challenge the status quo.
The vandal or vandals struck the home of Councilman Chris Greenwood. Recently, he and another councilman tried to prevent the lifting of a moratorium on the Genola Meadows subdivision, which has come under fire for containing lots smaller than the town's requirement of 2.5 acres. On Friday, Cathryn Greenwood said only that "if it's meant to intimidate us or keep us from going forward, that's foolish, because it only makes us stronger." It's also foolish to think that in such a small town the truth won't come out sooner or later. Controversy has been festering in the town for some time; it sounds as if it's about to blow up. We suspect the result will reveal a lot about what has really been going on there. |
