Eagle Mountain building skate park Print E-mail
The Associated Press

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah -- Skateboarders will soon have a place to call their own in Eagle Mountain.

The city will soon begin building its first skate park at Pony Express Memorial Park near City Center.

A groundbreaking will occur on Thursday. The skate park is expected to be finished in September.

City leaders say the park is necessary to give kids in the town a safe place to hang out.

The skate park will be free.

I live in eagle mountain and I am very excited for the new skatepark to be built. The kids out here need something to do, and that's a great place to spend your time. I know that my 2 kids and I will be there all the time, trying to score some crack and tag things.

I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I meant to say that all sports are equal and that I have never seen any skaters misbehave in any way. What a beautiful, family friendly addition to the community this skate park will be.

Why would Eagle Mountain provide a free skate park? Skaters tend to be anarchists and drug users who like to "tag" things. Providing a place for them to hang out--at taxpayer expense I take it--will only allow them to grow and spread their influence. Just hope the place isn't built too close to your home.

Skate parks don't produce criminals, Eagle Mountain does.

Well, at least you're keeping it a family activity! lol
