Police are asking for the public's help in finding a Spanish Fork man who has been missing for almost a week.
Casey Alvey, 23, was last seen on Wednesday, when he told his family that he was going to an uncle's house in Spring Lake. Alvey never arrived at his uncle's house, and his family's attempts to reach him on his cell phone have been unsuccessful.
Steve Alvey, Casey's father, said his son is an outdoorsman who enjoys spending time in areas such as Spanish Fork Canyon. He said the family has searched for Alvey in mountain areas he is known to frequent.
Steve said it is uncharacteristic for his son to disappear without telling him where he is going. He said he called the police after Casey did not show up at his job to pick up his paycheck last week.
"It's very unlike him not to keep in touch with me," Steve Alvey said.
Alvey is 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, with long, blond hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing baggy pants and a blue and white checkered, short-sleeved, button-up shirt. He was driving a 1979 Dodge pickup truck that is lifted with oversize tires and has a cracked windshield and temporary Utah tags. The truck is light brown in the middle with dark brown on the top and bottom.
Anyone with information about Alvey's whereabouts can contact Det. Chris Sheriff of the Spanish Fork Police Department at 798-5070. |
