Silver Days celebration starts Aug. 6 in Eureka Print E-mail

Silver days this year will be help on August 6th to the 9th.

Starting out on Wednesday we have the Miss Tintic Pageant at the High School Auditorium at 7 pm. Tickets are #3.00 per person, $5.00 per couple, and $12.00 a family of 6.

Thursday night our local Mountain High Federal Credit Union will be having a Steak Fry at the City Park starting at 6 pm.

Tickets are $5.00 and can be bought at the Credit Union, Or call 435-433-2008.

On Friday the 8th the Elks will be holding it's Charity Golf Tournament, please pre-register with Dawn at 435-433-6374 or Heather at 801-319-5227.

The Elks will host a Dinner and dance that same night, for more information call Bob at 435-433-6938.

Saturday 9th

On Saturday our local Scout Troop will hold a breakfast and Flag Ceremony at the Church, located on Main Street, the cost is $3.00 per person or $12.00 for a family up to 8. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 9 am.

Our parade starts at 10 am. We invite everyone who wants to be in our Parade to come join us and meet at the High School Parking lot at 9 am.

Following the Parade;

The Ladies of Elks along with the Elks will hold a bake sale, with BBQ pulled pork, hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be served in the Shea building, on Main Street.

Porter Rockwell's Cabin will be open along with the town Museums, all of these are also on Main Street.

The Depot will hold Auction after the Parade there will be lots of neat things to see there.

The E.I.C. will be holding a fund raiser for next years Silver Days.

Family Photos will be taken by, Chasing Memories, a BJ Chase company, These will be in the cool historic settings on Main Street, and we have a 1912 Studebaker!

Pictures will be done with an hour or same day if she gets busy. She will be down by the White Owl after the parade.

Later that afternoon from 3-5 pm Mountain High Federal Credit Union along with the Foot Hill Cloggers will host the games and slides at the City Park. Cost is $10.00 unlimited rides or .25 per ticket.

Following these games the PTO will hold a Softball Tournament at the High School Fields, for more information call Janeel at the 435-433-2172 or Karen at 435-433-6829. It will be fun to participate in or watch.
