NEBO Getting to know you...Trish Prince w/pix Print E-mail
Ashley Harward - Nebo Reporter

Patricia Prince moved all over growing up, since her dad was in the military. But now Prince resides in Payson, Utah and is an EMT. "I've always been interested in it and I like helping people. I thought it would be great to give back to the community. I'm the first one to do it in my family," says Prince.

"It's hard when you have to pick up little kids with senseless injuries, ones where the parents could have prevented it. But it's nice knowing you helped somebody. The reward is seeing a good outcome on the calls you go on. When you see them weeks later and they are doing good it makes you feel good," says Prince.

One of Prince's most memorable calls was when a young mother had a heart attack just before Christmas. They had to work on her for a while in the hospital. She lived and was able to be with her kids Christmas Day.

"It's exciting to be able to help the people of the city. There's a lot of us that commit our time to help our community and it's awesome to be able to do that. All the EMTs enjoy running the ambulance to help," says Prince.

Prince works at Neways when she isn't working as an EMT. On her downtime she enjoys golfing.
