FAIRVIEW-- Erma Lee Hansen was raised in Fairview on a dairy farm, the eldest of G. Worth and Margaret Bench's seven children. Erma married Allan F. Hansen and the couple lived in Salt Lake City, Oregon, Alaska, Hurricane and Fairview.
She worked for Federated Dairies, Mayflower Cafe, First Security Bank, Riverbend Farm and as labor supervisor and truck driver. She also worked undercover for the Oregon State Liquor Commission, as a head cashier and secretary at Roth's IGA, as an assistant for orthodontists Jay G. Nelson and Ruel W. Bench and as branch manager at The Bank of Ephraim. She is a graduate from the LDS Business College and University of Utah.
Erma has served in various organizations in the LDS Church, as Young Women's president, Jr. Sunday School coordinator, dance director, activity director, Relief Society president, camp director,and in the Primary. Erma and Allan worked with the Boy Scouts and received special honors.
She has also devoted time and energy to the community as a trustee for the Fairview Museum of History and Art and the Fairview Senior Citizens, CLG Historic and as the Volunteer Connection Six County representative.
Erma is a past Miss Fairview Pageant director and former co-chair with her husband, Allan, for the 24th of July celebrations. She directed the Miss
Sanpete Pageant and worked with the Miss Utah Pageant and Miss Utah State Fair.
She enjoys camping, water skiing and boating. She has traveled to France, Germany, Scotland, Russia, Czechoslovakia, Poland, England, Wales, Mexico, the Panama Canal, the Bahamas, Aruba, the Philippines and Guam. She has visited almost all of the states in the U.S.
Hansen is full of life and has a fun-loving personality that radiates to everyone around her. |
