On Tuesday July 29th the Payson Hockey took on the Spanish Fork hockey team in the first game of the playoffs. The Payson team got 2 goals in the second period to take the lead 2 to 1 with goals being scored by Cameron Monk and Jeff Sonderegger.
In the third period the team sealed the win with Kyle Fuller getting the third goal of the game. The score of that game ended with Payson winning 3 to 1.
On Thursday July 31st the team took on the Predator team. The Lions took a 2 to 0 lead in the first period with goals from Cameron Monk and Kyle Fuller. In the second period the Predators got 1 goal passed goalie Blake Woodhall to decrease the lead by 1. In the third period the Predators scored again ending the regulation game in a 2 to 2 tie. The game then went to sudden death overtime in which the Predators slipped one past to take the win.
The Payson team still is in the playoffs and will face the winner of a game in which Lehi and Spanish Fork face off. The Payson game will be on Weds 8/6 at 6 p.m. Wish the team luck.
This Saturday the team will be fundraising at the Walmart, so come down and visit them and help support the team.
The team still has openings for the upcoming fall season for the high school team.

This is a great opportunity to come and try hockey in a less intense manner to see if it is for you.
We are looking for players entering 9th grade or above for the high school team. Even if you have no experience and have not played we can utilize you on the team. Come just 1 time for free and see how much fun the sport is.
