William Stanley Kell
William Stanley Kell, 54, of Woodland Hills, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at the University of Utah Hospital due to complications from pneumonia. Stan was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on January 26, 1954 to John William Kell and Ruby Lee Clemons.
Stan married the beautiful secretary from the BYU physics department, the love of his life, Patricia "Patty" Larson on August 26, 1979 in Covina, California. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple on July 7, 1981. Together they had five children whom Stan loved dearly.
Stan graduated from BYU with a physics degree in 1980 and was self employed as a consultant in renewable energy.
Stan was a wonderful man who could always make you laugh. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in his callings faithfully. Stan's greatest joy came from spending time with family. He also loved vacationing, hiking, golfing, skiing, and reading.
Stan was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2006. He courageously battled the cancer and in 2008 was in full and complete remission.
He is survived by his loving wife Patty; His 4 daughters, Amy Shumway (Kade), Tracy Hernandez (Nick), Kristy, Julie; his son Ryan; 2 granddaughters, Blake and Bella; his father and his 2 sisters Willela Douthat (Jim), and Pat Smith (Alan). He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services wereheld Tuesday, August 12, 2008.
