A broken water main Sunday, Aug. 10, showed how quickly and selflessly Fairview=A0citizens help each other in emergencies. 100 East became a river as the broken line actually lifted part of the street with its power. As city worker Cliff Keller got the water lines turned off, neighbors scooped muddy water and built a dike to keep the flood out of the basement. |
