First day -- School starts Monday. Call the specific school for start times, if not already received. Lone Peak High School Senior party -- The Senior "Shindig" Party is today (Aug. 14) from 3-5:30 p.m. Seniors should come to the Highland Glen Park behind Lone Peak. Park at Lone Peak or above the lake. There will be food, volleyball, ping-pong, kayaks, build-a-boat, etc. Senior shirts will be sold Back to school night -- Back to School Night is tonight from 6-8. Schedules -- Class schedules have been sent home, and fees may be paid online. Registration Finalization (locker assignments, health forms turned in, fee payment, parking passes, student shirts, etc.) goes through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Football challenge -- The Lone Peak Knights Football Linemen Challenge at BYU will be Aug. 16. Come meet the team and enjoy dinner. Dinner starts at 4 p.m. and will consist of hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones, cotton candy. Then scrimmages start at 6 p.m. with the ninth grade, then the sophomores at 7 p.m., and then the Varsity and Junior Varsity at 8 p.m. Coach McGeary will introduce the team, summarize summer football activities and present an overview of the upcoming season. Don't miss the kick-off of the 2008 season. Mountain Ridge Junior High School Back to school night -- Back to School Night is tonight from 6-8. Seventh grade begins -- Friday is the first day of school for seventh graders. Students will attend all eight periods. The first day of school for the eighth and ninth grade is Monday. It is an A Day. Tuesday is a B Day. Timberline Middle School Back to school night -- Back to School Night is tonight from 6:30-9. Cedar Ridge Elementary School New student information -- The new student tour is Friday at 11 a.m. The meet and greet open house is then 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Highland Elementary School Open house -- Highland's Open House is Friday from 4-6 p.m. |
