• AUTO THEFT -- Orem police said a Provo man combined his professional life and criminal life when he used a tow truck to steal a car. George William Peahl, 45, was formally charged on Wednesday with theft and driving on a revoked license. Police said Peahl, an employee of a towing company in Lindon, used his tow truck to steal a Volkswagen Vanagon and took it to an auto wrecking yard in American Fork, where he sold the vehicle for $200. The car's owner called police after finding it at the auto wrecking yard. According to an affidavit filed in Provo's 4th District Court, Peahl admitted to stealing the car after his arrest.
