Thieves rip off band Print E-mail
Daily Herald

The theft of musical instruments and personal property from the Velour Nightclub was a mean and selfish act. The thieves apparently snuck in through the back door and stole the items while my daughter's band was playing. Her personal items were stolen from the lounge behind the stage. The act of stealing material items is low enough, but stealing things of a personal nature, many of which are irreplaceable, is as mean as anything.

We know there were people in the alley who may have seen something and may even know who did this. Items that were stolen, besides valuable equipment, were a camera with pictures from the band's recent three-week tour in the Eastern part of the U.S. These pictures are worth nothing to anyone except my daughter and the band. Also stolen were some necklaces and personal handmade items that are valuable in no other way than personal and sentimental.

If anyone has information that may help to recover these items, I ask that you please contact the Provo Police Dept. Think of how you would feel if someone stole your most personal and sentimental item.
