DENVER -- Michelle Obama and her family have taken a look at the stage from which she will deliver a speech to help define her husband and his bid for the presidency.
Michelle Obama spent about 10 minutes on the stage at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. She stood at the podium and squinted at the screens where the text of her speech will be displayed. Her mother, brother, sister-in-law and two daughters joined her for the brief visit Monday. Youngest daughter Sasha stood at the podium and banged the gavel once, creating a thump that echoed through building. Then Michelle Obama did the same. Michelle Obama's speech is expected to focus on Barack Obama as a family man and someone concerned with helping other families. |
