Elva Mae Rigby
Elva Mae Rigby, 73, of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away August 12, 2008 after a brief illness. She was born July 9, 1935 in Benjamin, Utah the daughter of Raymond Dean and Jennie Mae Thomas Hone.
Elva married Jewel Clark Rigby on March 11, 1950. She was employed as a truck driver for Geneva, as an Artex paint instructor and embroidery machinist. She loved people and looked for ways to help them and meet their needs. Elva was an herbalist and enjoyed fishing, sewing, bead work, quilting, knitting, and many crafts. She also loved traveling, yard work, and gardening. She was a caring mother and friend to all.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an investor of real estate, and especially loved her summer home in Wyoming and her home in Spanish Fork.
Elva is survived by three daughters, Juanita Hunt (Jim), of Centerfield, Utah; Lila Wyler (Rick), Riverside, CA; and Carla Kelsey (Ralph), Payson, Utah; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert Hone; Dale Hone; and a sister, Leah Elliot. Elva was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Jewel Roy; her parents; a sister; and a brother.
Funeral services were held on August 16, 2008. Interment was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
