Venice Lundell Keele

Venice Cleone Lundell Keele joined Heavenly Angels on Sunday August 17, 2008 leaving behind her most treasured earthly possessions, which were her family and friends. She was born on February 1, 1924 to John Eric Lundell and Reva Gardner in Benjamin Utah. She married William Alexander Keele on November 20, 1950. They were eternally sealed in the Manti Temple on January 24, 1964. Bill died on September 18, 1988. She was also preceded in death by sons, James Keele, Steven Keele, Lynn Keele, her brother, Glade Lundell and former spouse Carl Wymore. She is survived by one brother, J. Lynn Lundell and one sister, Connie Crawford.

She will be greatly missed by living children, Carolyn (Paul) Jennings, Guy (Joy) Wymore, Cherryl Hatfield, Barbara (Jerry) Tennysen, Connie (Don) Thomas, Wesley (Donna) Keele, Arlynn (Karen) Keele, Katharyn (Shaun) Flynn, and foster children Jenny (Juan) Melendez and Randell (Aule) Joe. She will be greatly missed by 41 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She had great faith in her Savior Jesus Christ and served him in various callings including MIA teacher, Guide Patrol leader and in the Relief Society Presidency. In her sunset years she found great joy in serving as a temple worker. She touched the lives of the many children as she helped them prepare for baptism while serving as a primary teacher for the last 10 years.

She has kept in close touch with her childhood friends and called themselves the "Nifty Nine". She loved it when a segment about their unique friendship was featured on Channel 5 News.

Venice was a hard worker, enjoyed planning big events such as family reunions and helping others. She enjoyed setting goals. She loved learning and kept her mind active. She was she was in the process of learning to speak Spanish when she passed away. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held August 19, 2008. Interment was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
