Fundraiser planned -- The Swim for Emily pool party, bake sale, and movie fundraiser will be tomorrow from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Lehi outdoor pool, 451 E. 200 South in Lehi. The suggested donation is $5 per person or $20 per family. Participants could also bring items for the bake sale as an additional donation. Emily Heaps is a 6-year old girl who was born with an immune system disorder and could die from complications related to colds, fevers and other everyday sickness. When she was 2 months old, she had a bone marrow transplant from her older sister. Her transplant has stopped working and she is in need of another one. She now faces 6-12 months of high-cost prescriptions that will allow her transplanted immune system to gradually be introduced to her body. Together the community can help Emily and her family with this cost -- along with many other costs associated with her extended hospital stays.

Play planned -- The Theatre Committee has announced the Fall play, "The Villian Wore a Dirty Shirt." The cost to participate will be $50. Auditions will be Tuesday to Thursday. Students should memorize a one minute monologue for the auditions, and fifth through eighth grades are invited to audition.
