All schools

Holiday -- There will be no school Monday in observance of Labor Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday.

 

American Fork High School

Fee payments -- Throughout the year students and parents will be able to pay fees for the various organizations they are a part of. Coaches and teachers will let students know when fees are available for online payment through the MySchoolFees link on the AFHS Web site.

Yearbook information -- Yearbooks are now $50 and may be purchased either online at www.MySchoolFees.com or at the student finance office. The cost of yearbooks will be $50 until Dec. 31. Any yearbook purchased after Dec. 31 will be $60. Students and parents are reminded that supply is very limited.

American Fork Junior High School

School pictures -- School pictures will be completed today. Picture packets will be available and must be paid at the time the picture is taken. A make-up picture day will be announced in the near future for those who missed pictures.

Dress up day -- School spirit dress up day will be Sept. 5. Students are encouraged to wear the school colors to show school spirit.

Community Council -- The school community council will meet Sept. 5 at 7 a.m. All council members are invited and encouraged to attend.

Forbes Elementary School

Reading program to begin -- BEAR reading begins on Tuesday for all students. Reading charts will be sent home.

PTA meeting -- The PTA will hold a meeting Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the PTA room. All board members are encouraged to attend. Any interested patrons are also invited to attend.

Birthday table -- The PTA sponsored birthday table will be Sept. 5 for August and September birthdays. Parents are invited to come and eat lunch with their student. Students are invited to sit at the birthday table where they will receive a birthday treat.

Legacy Elementary School

Room parent orientation -- A room parent orientation will take place Thursday for all parents who have volunteered as room parents. All volunteers are invited and encouraged to attend.

Shelley Elementary School

Vision screening -- Vision screening will take place during class for all grades Sept. 4 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Hearing screening -- Hearing screening will take place Sept. 5 for kindergarten and grades 1, 3 and 5 during class.

PTA meeting -- The first PTA meeting will be Sept. 8 from 10-11 a.m. All board members are encouraged to attend. Any interested patrons are also invited to attend.
