Labor Day holiday -- There will be no school Monday in observance of Labor Day. Orem High School Double Midnight Movie Night -- The student council is hosting a double midnight movie Friday at the Festival Cinemas near Costco. All students are welcome to attend. Club Week -- will be Sept. 2-5 and different clubs will be showcased in the student lounge with a variety of activities to interest new members. Canyon View Junior High School pictures -- will be taken Friday. Retakes will be offered at a later date. Freshmen barbecue -- The annual Freshmen Barbecue is Sept. 4 in the pavilion from 5-8 p.m. All ninth grade students are welcome. Call 227-8748 for details. Cascade Elementary School Room Mothers tea -- All room mothers are invited to a tea at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Call 227-8707 for more information. Safety Awareness Month -- September is Safety Awareness month at Cascade Elementary and there will be a variety of safety oriented activities and events throughout the month. Contact the Main Office for details. Foothill Elementary School Timpanogos Storytelling Festival -- Grades three through six will attend the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival today and students should be dressed appropriately for the weather. Parents can contact their child's teacher for details. Sharon Elementary School Entertainment Books fundraiser -- Students will be selling Entertainment Books starting Wednesday. Up to 50 percent of the profit will be donated to the school during this fundraiser. Individual student prizes for books sold will be awarded, and the class that sells the most books will win a pizza party. September Student Challenge -- Sharon Elementary's September Student Challenge is to be on time each day. Parents are urged to help students avoid being absent or tardy. |
