• The Utah County Health Department will offer free HIV testing through Friday in honor of National Latino AIDS Awareness Day. A walk-in clinic will be available Wednesday, and the free testing will be available by appointment the rest of the week. All testing will be done at the Utah County Health and Justice Building, 151 S. University Ave. in Suite 1709. In most cases, a rapid HIV test will be used where individuals can get results in 15 to 20 minutes. Local attorney Claralyn Hill will talk about her experiences and present her research on the subject. Hill has a master's degree in counseling psychology and a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU. She is also a trained mediator and has more than 21 years of experience in her profession. She currently practices law in the areas of estate planning, adoptions, guardianship and probate and often teaches classes in those subjects. She serves in a number of professional and charitable organizations. In addition, Hill is a candidate for the Utah State Legislature in District 62. The meeting will be held Wednesday, beginning at 11:30 a.m. for networking and noon for the actual meeting presentation. The meeting will be held at the Provo Library, Room 309, 550 N. University Ave. For underground parking, enter on the east side and drive around to the west side entrance to park and take the elevator to the third floor. A buffet lunch will be available for $8 for members and $10 for guests.
