About 'Time'
"Time after Time," a light-hearted musical set in the swinging '50s, is opening at the Valley Center Playhouse on Friday.
The play was written by theater co-owner Jody Renstrom in 1990. Renstrom also wrote the original music for the show, which features foot-tappin' melodies, puppy-love lyrics and whimsical harmonies.
Directed by Kathy Draper, the play stars Darla Luna, Megan Renstrom, Rachelle Rockhill, Jerrica Smith, Janeal Eads, Bryant Svedin, Jake Kelly, Josh Terry, Jonathon Nufer, Melinda Wooden, Tyrone Svedin, and Kevin and Becky McDonald.
"Time after Time" begins at 7:30 p.m. and runs Friday, Saturday and Monday, April 2-19, with additional performances April 30 and May 1-3.
The Valley Center Playhouse is located at 780 N. 200 East in Lindon. Tickets are $6 for general admission, $5 for students, children and seniors and $25 for families. For more information or to make reservations call 785-1186.

Brigham Young University's International Folk Dance Ensemble will perform "Reflections" Friday at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi.
The show features various styles of dance from areas around the world, including Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East.
"Audiences will be very familiar with some of the dance styles presented in the program," said Edwin G. Austin, artistic director of the ensemble, in a news release. "The Riverdance style of Irish hardshoe, our own American clogging and Cossack dancing from Ukraine are all perennial favorites," he said.
In addition, the group will use wooden clogs from Wales and perform men's slapping dances from Hungary.
