'Corner' the market

Jody Renstrom's "Jake's Corner," a musical comedy set in the Roaring '20s, opens Friday at the Valley Center Playhouse, 780 N. 200 East, Lindon.

The play is set in a speakeasy and has the usual thugs, sidekicks, heroes and dancing girls you'd expect in that sort of establishment -- albeit toned down for a family audience.

The show is directed by Shiela Heindel and Lori Sacks.

Tickets are $6, $5 students, children and seniors, $25 for a family. No children under 4, including babies, are allowed. Call 785-1186 for more information.
