Charlotte Colvin

1929 ~ 2012

As the rays of autumn sun turned the leaves to gold, Charlotte Colvin passed peacefully from this life into the arms of our Heavenly Father and waiting family on November 3, 2012.

Charlotte was born on September 15, 1929 in Eureka to Peter and Esther Nielsen. She married Gene Colvin on January 9, 1947 and they were later sealed in the Manti Temple. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. They owned and operated Colvin's Market in Payson where they sold the best penny candy in town and were blessed with many lasting friendships.

She is well known for her knitting, crocheting and counted cross stitch pictures. She and Gene loved their cabin near Strawberry and enjoyed traveling in their later years. They lived life to the fullest!

She is survived by her husband, Gene Colvin and their three daughters: Charlene Montague, Julie Colvin and Cindy (Lynn) Clark. They have 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Lena Greenhalgh and Christie Kropf and her grandson Cody Clark.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Third Ward Chapel, 274 South Main Street in Payson. A viewing will be held Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West in Payson and on Saturday prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:45 am.
