Hanson Lyman Holt, born September 4, 1947, in Coalville, Utah, Summit County, a son of Mary Bayles and Joseph Lindsay Holt passed away February 6, 2010 in Orem, Utah. He married Dewon LaRae Wardle on August 21, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He grew up in Kamas, Utah and later attended BYU. Hanson and Dewon made their home in Orem and owned ACE Insurance and Bonds and did property management in Orem.

He served an LDS mission to the Southern California Mission from 1966-1968. He is a faithful member of the LDS church holding many positions and callings in the church.

Hanson is survived by his wife Dewon, children Hans Bayles (Nicole) Holt, Jeffrey Lyman Holt, Ruby Gualin Dewsnup, Rachel LaRae Sorensen. His siblings, Birch (Ruth) Holt, Deann Hansen (deceased), Gaye (Richard) Passey, Merene (David) Buck, Bayles (Sheri) Holt, Willa Raye Holt, Yvonne (David) Oliphant.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February13, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hillcrest Stake Center, 1450 South 800 East in Orem. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street in Orem and also Saturday one hour prior to the services at the stake center.
