Maxine Warwood Davis, 92, of Lindon went home to her Heavenly Father on April 9, 2013. Maxine was born in Springville to Frank Warwood and Julia Harrington Warwood on October 3, 1920. She was raised in Springville and Vineyard, Utah. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1938. She married her sweetheart, Orvil B. Davis in the Salt Lake Temple, October 14, 1938. She graduated in the field of nursing from Utah Technical College. Maxine had a great love for education and took classes throughout her life. She was a devout member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings. She especially enjoyed her time serving with Orvil in the Nauvoo, Illinois Mission. Maxine worked at UVRMC as a nurse and also as a Media Specialist at Valley View Elementary School, retiring in 1989. Maxine served as a member of the Lindon Historical Society and as a Captain of the DUP.

She is survived by her eight children: Richard O. (Wendy) Davis, SLC; Joyce (Royce) Walker, Brigham City; Julie Washburn, Orem; Barbara (Scott) Russell, Highland; John B (Vicki) Davis, Draper; Carolyn (Keith) Corry, Pleasant Grove; Anita (Dave) Anderson, Lindon; Kevin L Davis, SLC; 31 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

Maxine's sweetheart Orvil passed away in September of 1999. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gregory; parents and step-father, Jens Andreason; two brothers: Franklin and Sheldon Warwood and sister, Thelma Long Cheatham; grandchildren: Shaqual Russell, DeeAnn Warnick and Matthew Pritt and son-in-law, J B Washburn.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Lindon Central Stake Center, 56 East 600 North, Lindon where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00-10:45 am. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Bel Aire Assisted Living for their excellent care of mother.
