Robert M. Fehr


Robert M. Fehr, 87, was born September 7, 1930 and passed away January 9, 2018 after a long battle with pneumonia. Everyone knew him as Bob. He returned to his Heavenly Father with his family encircled about him. Bob was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

He married his high school sweetheart, Frances Stillman, and they would have celebrated 68 years of marriage later this month. Bob was a graduate of Olympus High School and attended Westminster College up until he joined the service. Bob was a veteran of the Korean War. He served as a medic in the Air Force and was later transferred to headquarters where he handled classified material. After returning from the war, he managed the family business, The Optical Shop, for many years. He was a master Optician and one of the best around at fitting contact lenses. He also had the unique skill of fitting the occasional glass eye.

Bob had many accomplishments and talents. He was an excellent horseman. He trained many of his own champion cutting horses. He was an accomplished skier and in his younger years Bob was on the ski patrol at Alta. For a time, Bob enjoyed restoring old Ford Mustangs. He was a skilled knife maker and was always working to improve and better himself. He enjoyed this hobby up until his death.

Bob’s greatest accomplishment in this life was how he lovingly cared for his wife Frances, up until his death, who suffers from Alzheimer’s.

His two sons, Craig Michael Fehr and Chris David Fehr; parents and siblings preceded Bob in death.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Stillman Fehr; daughter, Lori (Jeff) Fehr Crockett; grandsons, Travis Fehr, David Crockett, Jonathan Crockett; granddaughters, Brittany Fehr, Megan (Zac) Crockett Pickup, Kirstie Fehr, Alyssa Fehr; and daughters-in-law, Diane Harvey Fehr and Nancy Reese Fehr.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018, at 6:30 PM, at Noah’s Event Venue, 1976 West 700 North, in Lindon, Utah.
