Theryn Ferris (Spud) Warren passed away February 26, 2014 at his home in Republic, Washington from a long battle with cancer. He was born October 7, 1938 in Bridgehead, California to Ferris Jones and Thelma Gleed Warren. The family moved to Mapleton in 1947. He attended Springville High School and at the age of seventeen joined the Navy Seabees. After his discharge, he returned to Utah where he worked in construction until be bought his first small restaurant. He owned several restaurants of his own over the years and managed many more for restaurant corporations such as JB's Big Boy and Red Lion Inns. At age 55, he went to work at the Utah State Prison directing the kitchens.

In 2004, Spud and his wife Cheryl moved to Republic, Washington. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, children Leah Borg, David Buswell, William Warren, Julie Warren and David Warren, sisters Evelyn Fullmer and Shirley Jensen. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jim Warren, sister Zelda, brother John and grandson Matthew Borg.

Services and burial were held March 1, 2014 in Republic Washington.
