Valley Center Playhouse showing Halloween fare
Time is running out to experience a favorite family Halloween tradition this year.
There are only three shows remaining of "Hotel Frankenstein" at the Valley Center Playhouse in Lindon (780 N. 200 East). According to theater owner Jody Renstrom, the play, which has appeared at the playhouse for 24 straight years, is so popular she couldn't end it even if she tried -- which she has.
"It's been a real favorite," Renstrom said. "When we've tried to stop it ... our public doesn't want us to. They say, 'We've raised our family on this show and now we want to bring our grandkids.' "
"Hotel Frankenstein" comes to life at 7:30 tonight, Monday and on Oct. 29, before being retired until next year.
Also in its closing run is another Halloween-themed production, "Shadowbrook Mansion," a musical written by Renstrom. The last two shows are Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Reservations are recommended for both shows, and can be obtained by calling 785-1186.
