Enchanting sheep: "So many new people are involved because of Barack Obama, and we don't want them to be disenchanted. ... Hopefully he will keep them in the fold ... keep them in the fold and attract others." -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in an Associated Press news story
Ram: I don't understand why you're so into Obama for president.
Ewe: He's enchanting. Don't you think he'd make a good shepherd?
Ram: My shepherd never enchanted me, and Barack's a far cry from the Good Shepherd.
Ewe: Have you heard his speeches?
Ram: No, but I've heard he makes women faint at campaign appearances.
Ewe: Well, you should go on YouTube and watch that video by will.i.am about his "Yes, we can" speech. Makes me cry.
Ram: See, that's what I don't understand. Women faint for him, cry over him -- sounds more like a crush than a candidate.
Ewe: He inspires people. It's that kind of passion that attracts others.
Ram: I'm not buying it. You're acting just like a sheep. What about the issues?
Barack Obama: (enters) Abracadabra!
Ram: What are you doing here?
B.O.: (wiggling ears) Making sure you're not disenchanted.
Ram: So I'm supposed to be enchanted now?
B.O.: Yes, we can.
Ewe: (sobs)
Ram: Oh, brother. Barack, how do you intend to fund this health plan of yours?
B.O.: (raises fist) I have a dream!
Ewe: (sighs) It's getting hot in here. Dear, where did you put the shears?
Ram: (to no one in particular) Is it possible to be disenchanted without ever being enchanted?
B.O.: I need to attract some more sheep. Baa-ram-ewe.
Ewe: (faints)
Ram: Wow. How do you do that?
B.O.: (shaking hands) People like you are the hope of America. Where's your fold?
Ram: This way. (points) You gonna enchant them, too?
B.O.: We hold these truths to be self-evident. (exits)
Ram: Oh yeah, just words, right?
