The Timpview High School Marching Band is nationally recognized for its musical prowess. Since early May, the band has been raising money toward the purchase of new instruments by showcasing the gifts of other people who make beautiful music -- the band-sponsored Summer Concert Series has so far included such locally popular performers as Jon Schmidt and Jim Brickman.

There are two shows remaining, both of which feature hot groups with Utah Valley ties. Jericho Road was formed in 2001 by a quartet of Brigham Young University students, while the members of Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand are all Utah Valley residents. Jericho Road will perform on Saturday, while Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand are set to appear June 28.

Both shows will be held in the Timpview High School Auditorium. Both are at 7 p.m., with doors open an hour before the scheduled start. Jericho Road will be preceded by the One Voice Children's Choir, while Good Morning Maxfield will open for Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand.

Admission to the Jericho Road show is $10, while Ryan Shupe tickets are $12. Tickets are available online at www.timpviewband.com.
