He is the son of John and Tamra Babbit, Orem, and a 1999 graduate of Mountain View High School, Orem. He joined the Navy in October 2004.

Navy Seaman Nicholas B. Cook made a five-day port visit to Brisbane, Australia while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, homeported in San Diego. He is the son of Mark Cook, American Fork. He joined the Navy in September 2004.

Air Force Capt. Michael J. Crook is deployed at a forward-operating location in Southwest Asia to support the missions of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force -- Horn of Africa. His parents-in-law are Jerry and Ruth Jensen, Highland.
