One person was killed and another injured Friday night in a head-on collision south of Payson.
Agent Cori Start, Utah Highway Patrol spokeswoman, said a dump truck, a Ford F-250 pickup and a Geo Metro were involved in an accident around 8:30 p.m. on State Road 198.
The driver of the Geo Metro was killed in the collision and the passenger was transported in critical condition.
Start said it was unclear what caused the accident, or which cars were hit head-on. The road was wet at the time and was closed in both directions after the accident. The identities of the victims were not known at press time.
