Miley Cyrus's "Best of Both Worlds" concert tour was the hottest ticket of 2007, and now the star of the Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana" will be performing at this year's Stadium of Fire celebration in Provo.

So far, the Stadium of Fire appearance on July 4 is Cyrus's only concert this summer. Her concert tour finished in January and now the 15-year-old is busy filming a movie adaptation of "Hannah Montana," recording a new CD and working on season three of the TV show.

"Anyone in this nation who wants to see Miley Cyrus between now and maybe school this year will hopefully be here with us," said Brad Pelo, executive director of Stadium of Fire, at a news conference Tuesday. "We expect we're going to have a lot of visitors here at Stadium of Fire this year, and we're excited about that."

Tickets for the show, which is part of America's Freedom Festival at Provo, go on sale at 5 p.m. Friday at the Marriott Center box office and on www.byutickets.com. Tickets cost between $35 and $120. Even though tickets are available online, some are being reserved for walk-in traffic at the Marriott Center. There were 1,000 wristbands, all handed out by Tuesday afternoon, which guarantee a place in line when tickets become available on Friday.

Pelo said he's anticipating a quick sellout. Radio personality Glenn Beck, who will host Stadium of Fire for the second time, made 1,000 pre-sale tickets available Tuesday morning to his listeners, which sold out in just a few minutes.

Since Cyrus's tour ended, she has performed only one show, at Reliant Park in Houston. The show sold out its 73,500 tickets in minutes and broke an attendance record at the stadium. David McDougal, president of the Freedom Festival's board of trustees, called the upcoming concert the "biggest, most-exciting show we've ever had."

"You've heard that every single year, and every single year it seems to get a little bit bigger," McDougal said. "As a foundation and festival, we've never planned to make the events bigger, but we've tried to make them better."

Pelo said it's a challenge to bring in top-level talent while making sure that Stadium of Fire is a family celebration. But event organizers haven't forgotten that the show is a tradition for many Utah Valley families.

Unlike most Cyrus concerts, which limit ticket sales to six or eight per person, anyone can purchase up to 25 tickets to Stadium of Fire. Also, most other Cyrus concert tickets cost $65 or much more. Some tickets to her tour last fall were resold for more than $1,000. Pelo asked that local ticket purchasers get theirs early and not wait to get them from scalpers.

Stadium of Fire will also feature the Blue Man Group, a non-speaking, three-man multimedia comedy troupe. There will also be a large fireworks display and pageantry during the evening, and the night's proceedings will be broadcast internationally to military members through the American Forces Network.
