MT. PLEASANT-- J. Bruce and Marlane Harless have been selected as Grand Marshals for Mt. Pleasant Hub City Days celebration parade.

Bruce and Marlane Seely Harless were married before he left on an LDS Mission. When he returned he went to medical school and Marlane raised their four children. They lived in California, Arizona, Europe and Utah, finally settling in Mt. Pleasant in 1970. Marlane's maternal and Paternal families came as pioneers to settle the area.

The couple have served in the town and also the entire Sanpete Valley. Bruce as a medical doctor, a bishop twice and stake president. He currently serves as president of the Manti LDS Temple, Marlane has served in many church callings, including temple matron.

The couple have nine grandchildren and continue to serve others.
