A man was killed early Friday morning after walking onto Interstate 15 in Provo.
Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Cameron Roden said a report came in at approximately 3:15 a.m. that a semitrailer had struck and killed a pedestrian. Roden said the man was dead before troopers arrived. A highway patrol dispatcher said the accident occurred at milepost 263, near the Provo Towne Centre mall.
Roden said the man's identity is still unknown, and officers are still investigating the cause of the crash. Police have spoken with the driver of the semitrailer, but little information is available so far about what happened.
