Murray High School junior David Archuleta is still going strong on FOX's "American Idol," making a habit of impressing the judges and the scores of screaming fans.

On Tuesday, the show's contestants had to perform a song made famous by Dolly Parton. Archuleta chose "Smoky Mountain Memories," and after he finished, host Ryan Seacrest's comments were nearly drowned out by the still screaming crowd. Several girls shouted, "I love you."

During weekly results shows, contestants are eliminated by popular vote among the show's viewers. Ramiele Malubay, a 20-year-old medical student from Florida, was eliminated Wednesday. There are now eight contestants left, including Archuleta and fellow member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Brooke White of Mesa, Ariz.

Archuleta and the remaining contestants will perform again Tuesday at 7 p.m. on FOX, channel 13.
