COUNTYWIDE

• Project Linus is in need of donated blankets from the community to fill local hospital and other charitable needs, and for this December's "Santa Flight." Project Linus blankets, along with toys and other needed items, will be delivered to the state's Indian Reservations in time for Christmas. The blankets must be homemade of new materials, in child-friendly colors and patterns, and of good gift quality. All sizes of blankets are needed, from crib- to teen-sized. The blankets may be quilted, tied, crocheted or knitted, or made of fleece (please call for requirements on fleece). Because Project Linus also donates to local hospitals, blankets must be free of strong chemical smells and come from non-smoking environments. All blankets must be received by Dec. 15th.

To help, or for further information, please contact Judy Cox, Project Linus chapter coordinator, at (801) 221-9866 or (801) 830-9268. Project SFlbLinus is a 100-percent volunteer nonprofit organization that provides comfort and security to children through the gift of homemade blankets. "Santa Flight" is a project of Angel Flight West, a nonprofit organization of private pilots that provide free air transportation for non-emergency medical treatment to those in need.
