• ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN -- A Provo man was arrested Tuesday after attempting to break into an occupied home. According to police reports, Obed Riviera tried to get through the front door of a home with a bandana covering his face. He jiggled the door handle several times and the homeowner told him to go away. Riviera allegedly yelled and screamed during the incident and frightened a 12-year-old witness inside the home. Riviera was booked into the Utah County Jail on charges of attempted burglary and intoxication.
• PLANE CRASH -- Three people were on a single-engine plane that crashed around West Mountain into an orchard at about 7:30 p.m. All passengers walked away unharmed to a nearby road and received assistance.
