• Tubbs Snowshoes and the Salt Lake City affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure will team up for their annual Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer Snowshoe Series, Saturday at the Mountain Dell Golf Course in Parley's Canyon.

Participants are invited to join a snowshoe walk or run on gentle snow-covered trails to benefit breast-cancer research, education and screening.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the 5K race starts at 9:30 a.m.

An optional 3K snowshoe walk will start at 9 a.m. Tubbs snowshoes will be available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants also can rent or bring their own.

At 11 a.m. there will be closing ceremonies, including a survivor tribute, awards ceremony and prize drawings.

PROVO

• Provo High will host a Noche de Cultura on Friday. Dinner, catered by El Azteca, will be served from 5:30-7 p.m. There will be performances from several Latino, American Indian and Polynesian dance companies from 7-8 p.m. There also will be donated items from local businesses in a silent auction from 5:30-6:45 p.m. There also will be a community dance in the Provo High gymnasium beginning at 8 p.m. This event is a fundraiser for an educational/humanitarian student trip to Mexico in June.

Tickets for the dinner and program cost $8 for adults and $4 for children. For the dinner, program and dance, adult tickets cost $10 and children's tickets cost $5. Tickets for the dance only cost $5 for adults and $2 for children. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available at Provo High and Dixon Middle School offices.

• The Bridal Fair will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Provo High School.

The Bridal Fair is a wedding-planning event where busy brides can compare the services and samples of more than 80 wedding vendors in a single location. Each bride in attendance receives free wedding-planning magazines and resources, and more than 60 coupons for discounted wedding services. Brides and grooms enter to compete in contests and drawings held every hour. There will be hourly bridal fashion shows, live wedding-band demo performances and wedding-planning workshops presented by local experts.
