COUNTYWIDE
• Provo's garbage collection through the next two weeks will be normal Mondays through Wednesdays. But Thursdays through Fridays, collections will be pushed back a day. All of the extra trash generated on Christmas can be left in bags along the curb next to the cans for the first pick-up day after Christmas. Trees will also be collected at the curb between Jan. 5 and Jan. 29.
OREM
• There will be a New Year's Eve Dance at the Orem Senior Friendship Center, 93 N. 400 East, on Dec. 31 from 9 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. Music and lights will be provided by DJ Nile Miner and a light buffet will be served. Best dress is encouraged, and there will be door prizes.
Tables can be reserved in advance. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. Call 229-7110 for more information.
PROVO
• Provo's Seventh-Day Adventist Church will host a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. on Wednesday featuring music and scripture reading. The church is located at 255 S. 700 East.
The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served following the service.
