Lehi and the Utah Department of Transportation are at odds about where to construct an east-west freeway through Lehi.

UDOT's preferred option would put the freeway at 2100 North, south of Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. Lehi leaders want a freeway built instead at 4800 North, northwest of Cabela's.

Both Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs leaders have passed a resolution supporting UDOT's decision.

Below is an informal survey of people on Lehi streets and their reaction to the question "The city and UDOT are looking at constructing an east-west freeway through Lehi. Would you prefer to have it built at 2100 North, south of Thanksgiving Point, or 4800 North, northwest of Cabela'sfi Whyfi"

"I want it as far south as possible. The population at Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs is exploding and turning Lehi into a gridlock."

Damien Bean, Eagle Mountain

"I want it south because there's already too much growth on the mountain side by Cabelas."

Aric Davies, Alpine

"South, because it makes more sense. If you'll go that far north, then use Bangerter."

Cecile Thomas, American Fork

"2100 North is close to where we live so I would want it there. Plus, it would harm less people putting it there because they wouldn't have to remove as much."

Barbara Diamond, Lehi

"I would want it near Cabela's because it's less populated and more convenient there."

Erin Diamond, Lehi

"I would want it south because it is close to me. I'm sick to death of driving Main Street. Can you have it there tomorrowfi"

Suzanne Snow, Eagle Mountain

"I would want it south because there is enough traffic on [Main Street]."

Deven Johnson, Eagle Mountain

"Whichever ones gets me to Salt Lake faster so my mom gets home faster."

Lizzie Fleck, Eagle Mountain
